Why PHIL GULF EDUCATION?
A. Statement of Purpose
The PHIL GULF EDUCATION (PGE) exists through a collaborative vision and mission of the Filipino Educators in the United Arab Emirates. It envisions the ethos of education that was significantly defined by John Dewey’s theory, “The universal purpose of school is to convey knowledge and prepare young people to participate meaningfully in society.”
That is why young Filipino and other nationality learners whose parents are working and living in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates deserve to acquire such meaningful and quality education for them to be a part of the progressive community and well-versed enough to face the reality stages of life in this ever-changing and competitive world.
This school advocates a whole and child-centered approach, which strongly advocates that every student in the classroom should be healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and fully challenged as put into operation by the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum in all Philippine Schools in the United Arab Emirates.
With that, the teachers as the direct implementers and providers of the curriculum to the clients, the administrators as the strong stewards of the school, and parents and community stakeholders as the untiring supporters of all the programs and projects of the school. They have ample knowledge, skill, and ability to meet these challenges and share their strengths to mold 21st-century learners.
The PHIL GULF EDUCATION is leading and venturing the advancement from envisioning a whole and child-centered approach toward implementing those ideas and making them an authentic reality.
